R&S Trusted VPN Client gets ‘thumbs up’

R&S Trusted VPN Client is said to allow users to work on the move, without any restrictions.

Only with an encrypted VPN connection can employees who work from offices around the world, securely and safely access corporate networks and resources, it is increasingly pointed out.

With R&S Trusted VPN Client, IT security expert Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity facilitates encrypted mobile work, despite VS-NfD (RESTRICTED) requirements. The solution, states the company, protects the network communication of a client platform (Windows laptop or tablet) with a government or corporate network over an untrusted network, such as the internet.

R&S Trusted VPN Client is software-based and requires no additional hardware, meaning that users can work on the move at the airport, from home office or from other public spaces without any restrictions. The ‘Always On’ mode provides additional security. Users are always protected in untrusted networks, says Rohde & Schwarz. "Thanks to its high scalability, R&S Trusted VPN Client can be individually adapted to changing work requirements at any time."

R&S Trusted VPN Client implements a zero-trust VPN solution that does not require trust in potentially insecure components, such as an operating system. The so-called red-black separation (network separation between red classified data and black Internet traffic) takes place outside the operating system, so that, even in the event of vulnerabilities and security flaws in the operating system, a leakage of classified data can be prevented.

With the approval of the BSI, Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity is making its software-based security solution R&S Trusted VPN Client available to new user groups from public authorities and companies that require a secure and practicable solution for processing confidential data.
